FAQ - Lashes

Q. How eyelash extensions work?

Eyelash extensions are semi-permanent synthetic fibre lashes that are attached onto your own natural lashes with bonding adhesive. They give you longer, darker and more noticeable lashes which can last anywhere from 3 to 8 weeks depending on how the person take care of them and their natural lash cycle. One Classic lash is attached to one single natural lash which gives natural or glamorous look depends on choices of thickness, curls, and length of extensions and styling.

Q. Will eyelash extensions ruin my natural eyelashes?

NO. If they are applied correctly and properly by certified eyelash artists, they are safe and do not ruin the health of your natural lashes. Research your lash artist well when you are booking an appointment. Be sure not to rub your eyes or tug or pull on the extensions because this can cause lash loss and even damage to your natural lashes. Always follow aftercare guide from your lash artist.

Q. When eyelash extensions fall out?

The eyelash grows for approximately 30 to 45 days and then rests for the remainder of its life. Normally a person’s eyelash falls out every 45 to 90 days and a new eyelash grows in immediately. Human typically shed 1 to 5 eyelashes every day.

AFTERCARE for Permanent Makeup

For Permanent Makeup, healing process is very important and might make you very emotional as well. If you notice something that you may concern, please reach me out and DO NOT PANIC! That is why touch up is MANDATORY to complete your brows. It is pretty common that some spots (especially inner, arch, and tails) lose color because the skin heal very differently. We will be able to correct at the touch up appointment.

What to expect during Healing process:

Day of the procedure

The area you got work done will be red and tender.
It’s an adjustment for you to get used to your new brows!

Although I won’t tattoo on your face unless I’ll get full approval

from you, it is a BIG change for your face. At this point,

they are dark and big. But remember, the color usually

fade by 30-40% and overall shape will shrink by 10%.

Day 1 - 3

Okay, so they will be even more DARKER! Imagine you cut yourself. Once you get freshly cut, your wound is bright pink. Then the wound start dry out and get darker color right? Same thing! Once the pigment get dried, the color get darker! Like much darker. PLEASE KNOW THIS!. You will start putting healing cream that I’ll provide.

Day 5 - Day 14

Alright, here is comes. The SCABBING and ITCHING! You’ll be like "What is happening"! Whatever it is happening, DO NOT TOUCH YOUR BROWS! Picking the scab or itching will cause loss of pigment. If this happen, I’ll take longer time to work on your brows and have to charge you accordingly. Leave your brows alone and trust the healing process. Some take 5 days to scabbed off, some are 14+ days depending on your skin type.

After all scabs are off NATURALLY, the pigment you will see is a lot lighter than Day 1. You might be like

"Uh-oh.  where they go?". Don’t worry, the color will come back a bit after couple days. At this point, you can start wearing your skincare or makeup.
.
.
The skin will take 6-8 weeks to completely heal. This is why you will need to wait to get touched up 6-8 weeks after initial appointment. Some color loss is normal. I will fix on your touch up appointment. Some minor changes are able to fix on touch up day as well!

Basic Aftercare for Ombre Powder Brows

There will be a little tenderness and possibly, redness. You may also experience a white halo surrounding the area. It is from the anesthetic that was used and will be gone in an hour or so. When the exfoliation begins, remember not to pick, as this will remove your color. Avoid all topical makeup on the procedure area. This includes gels, powders and pencils. Use a clean q-tip to apply your ointment. If you see some dark pieces of pigment, do not be alarmed. This is the process of exfoliating and is totally natural.

Absorb (Day of)

After the procedure, gently blot the area with a clean tissue to absorb excess lymph fluid.

Do this every 5 minutes until the oozing has stopped.

Removing this fluid prevents hardening of the lymphatic fluids.

Wash (Days 1-7)

  • Wash daily to remove bacteria, build up of product and oils, and dead skin. (Don't worry, THIS DOES NOT REMOVE THE PIGMENT!)

  • Gently wash the area each morning and night with water and gentle soap or an unscented cleanser like Dial Soap, Cetaphil, or baby shampoo. With a very light touch, use your fingertips to gently cleanse the area.

  • Rub the area in a smooth motion for 10 seconds and rinse with water ensuring that all soap is rinsed away. To dry, gently pat with a clean tissue. DO NOT use any cleansing products containing acids (glycolic, lactic, or AHA), or exfoliants.

Moisturize and hydrate (Days 1-7)

  • Apply a tiny, rice grain amount of healing cream which I provide 2 times a day with a cotton swab and spread it across the treated area.

  • Be sure not to over-apply, as this will suffocate your skin and delay healing. The product should be barely noticeable on the skin.

NEVER put the product on a wet or damp tattoo.

Failure to do so may affect results.
